Story
Hi All,
My friends in The Bláth Room are helping me to facilitate a virtual Floral Crown Workshop to help raise money for The Irish Cancer Society.
This is a great way for us to come together (virtually) in a time that we're required to stay apart. It's a chance to have some fun, learn a new skill and help support a great cause.
I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in Sept 2018. A cancer diagnosis is a very scary and upsetting time, not just for the person but also their family and friends.
Unfortunately a lot of people know someone who has been affected by a cancer diagnosis. The Irish Cancer Society do great work providing support and services to those diagnosed with cancer and also their families.
I utilised some of the supports available from The Irish Cancer Society while going through treatment. That's the reason I'd like to support this campaign.
I would be so grateful if you could join me in supporting them in any way you can.
By donating towards my virtual floral crown workshop, you will be supporting services like the Irish Cancer Society Support Line ( 1800 200 700) which has seen calls increase as patients and their families try to deal with a diagnosis in the current environment. Breast cancer patients are looking for certainty and reassurance in this distressing time and the Support Line is able to provide this for them. It is crucial that the Irish Cancer Society nurses are there to answer these calls, but with their fundraising affected due to the pandemic they need our support more than ever. Please donate what you can today, with your support we can ensure that no one has to go through breast cancer alone - thank you!
