We Are on call every hour of every day to save lives in Glencoe and beyond.
Story
I (yes I!) am running the Edinburgh half marathon in memory of Una Finnegan. As anyone who knows me will realise: this is a challenge! As I am not the most active of people, preferring to sleep rather than run generally. However I feel Una would be proud and it is for a great cause. On 19th January 2013 I lost an amazing flatmate and friend to an avalanche in Glencoe. However the efforts of the Glencoe Mountain rescue team were incredible without which another of our friends would not be alive today. I had not realised until recently that Glencoe Mountain Rescue is an entirely volunteer run charity. They do an amazing job and help to make a stunning part of the world safer. Please donate as much as you can to say thank you, to remember Una and help me survive a half marathon! Georgina xx

Glencoe Mountain Rescue has been providing a free rescue service in the Glencoe area since 1961. Run entirely by volunteers and hugely reliant on donations for funding, the rescue service extends to mountains, rivers, lochs, caves and the sea across North Argyll and on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula.
