Fundraising for Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation
Story
Ok I've got to race two marathons and an ultra within 22 days! I have to admit I'm terrified and worried I won't complete them, but I've trained so hard and have taken the best advice!
I wasn't going to fundraise. I've said that three times now but some of you have messaged me to ask where my sponsorship page is.
A lot of us have had a dreadful start to the year and given in memory of dear friends so I'm not expecting you to sponsor me. A lot of you are also fundraising for your own causes so again please don't feel you have to but some of you have asked!
Lung cancer killed my mum, a fit, healthy, non-smoker. No symptoms - advanced cancer.
It's particularly prevalent in women and 44 ladies lose their battle in the U.K. DAILY. More than any other type of cancer.
I've paid my own race entries so that the charity doesn't have to, so any fundraising goes directly to Roy Castle.
It's a small charity, who I've fundraised a lot for before and they really appreciate your donation.
