We share the vision of an end to the pain & suffering of eating disorders

Story

*** Please join me in supporting BEAT Eating Disorders ***

For many, the prospect of running a marathon seems daunting, scary, even impossible. Yet when compared with the silent battle of an eating disorder, training for a sub-4 marathon seems bliss.

9% of people will experience an eating disorder in their lifetime. It continues to be the mental illness with the HIGHEST suicide rate, in a country where suicide is the biggest killer of U35s. Indiscriminate of gender, age, race, employability, success, wealth and size, it is all too often that those whom you ‘least expect’ are its silent victims.

BEAT is a specialist Eating Disorder Charity, who offer support, guidance and therapy to those in crisis. Their dedicated team shine a light down the path of recovery, BEFORE it is too late.

Dropping out of university was the beginning of my road to recovery. Aided along the way by the support of the most amazing Mum, Dad, brother, and friends, the finish line in Stockholm will mark the end.

Thank you for anything you can give. With even the smallest of donations, you are helping change lives.
