Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
East Anglian Children's Hospices (EACH) support to families and provide care for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridge, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk. http://www.each.org.uk
This year I have set myself several epic running challenges. It started with a blasé "anyone can run a marathon" conversation and ended up with me entering a 100km Ultra Marathon from London 2 Cambridge (why?!).
Along with the 100km Ultra, I'm hoping to raise money and awareness for EACH through a series of running focused community events including the 'Eaton Park Marathon' in April where I will be inviting people to join one of my training runs involving 30 laps of the park.
I'm blogging my journey to 100km which you can follow here: https://ultrarunningmumblog.wordpress.com
About EACH
There are an estimated 49,000 children and young people in the UK living with a life-threatening or life-limiting condition that may require palliative care services. Caring for a child or young person with a life-threatening illness, often for 24 hours a day seven days a week, can put a huge strain on family life. Life can become governed by the timetable of nursing and medical needs.
Careers may have to be put on hold, healthy brothers and sisters can feel left out and regular family activities and holidays can be rare. During all of this, families are going through a process of grieving.
The care and support EACH provides is tailored for the needs of all family members and delivered where the families wish – in their own home, at hospital, in the community or at one of three hospices in Ipswich, Milton and Quidenham.
