Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am fundraising for Motor Neurone disease with my cousin Tannwen who goes above and beyond for this charity. In 2009 we lost my Uncle Carl to the disease within just 6 months of diagnosis. The awareness of the complicated disease has increased recently thanks to viral fundraisers such as the ALS ice bucket challenge (which many of you have contributed); but there is still no known cure. Then terrifyingly my father was diagnosed with it in 2011. Thankfully, after a month his symptoms were narrowly identified as a different health issue and it was concluded a misdiagnoses, but this shows that there is a long way to go regarding the knowledge, identification and treatment of this acute disease.

Any donations would be deeply appreciated, I really have no clue what I have let myself in for with this zipline but hopefully I can raise some money for a very deserving charity. All money raised will go directly to the South East Wales Branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association, helping local people and families.

Come along to Coronation park on the 4th July to watch me and Tannwen hurl ourselves off the Newport Transporter bridge 11 flights of stairs up, and tackle one of the largest temporary zip wires in the UK, at 350m long!
