Yep, word is out, after many years of trying through the ballot, I’ve got a place in London Marathon. I’m going to London, baby!

It is no secret that I am not the biggest fan of running and refuse to run if it’s too hot or too early or if I’m too tired or if it is raining… but deep down I am so excited that I am going to experience this and I know with the massive support around me, that I can do this!

Ashgate Hospice holds a very special in our hearts in this household as they looked after Derry’s Dad just before he passed away during the pandemic, at a time that the family couldn’t be by his side. Derry raised an incredible amount of money for them completing Outlaw 140.6 in 2022 and continues to raise money for them through events with our running club, North Derbyshire. So I’m now going to do my bit to try and raise some more pennies for them, for all the incredible work they do, in and around Chesterfield and Derbyshire, supporting families at such difficult times.

To jazz up this fundraising malarkey, I’m suggesting that for your donation (no matter how big or small), please suggest a song and I’ll add it to my playlist so I have a little piece of you all whilst I’m running that 26.2 miles!
