Story
I hope you and your families are keeping fit and healthy.
I think we can all admit how well the NHS are doing during this pandemic crisis. But, we mustn’t forget about the carers that work in the care homes. They are watching their friends, patients and colleagues suffer with this invisible killer whilst providing the best psychological care to their patients who are even more isolated during this time. They have seen their donations reduced and income lost as cafes, shops and other businesses have been forced to close.
With this in mind, I have decided to raise money for Ashgate Hospice, which is a local charity situated in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Attached is a video explaining why I have decided to donate to this Charity and how they help those that need us most in this time.
Coronavirus is affecting peoples mental health on a scale not seen before. As someone who has been affected by this issue I want to set myself a goal. I think this idea will be a great opportunity get people moving and release those endorphins in the comfort of your own home.
So on Saturday 25th April, I’m going to be doing an online dance-a-thon event where I will dance for 6 hours and I’m wanting people to be able to join in enjoy themselves with me. The dances will be accessible to all levels, it will be a very fun relaxed dance/HIIT session where anyone can join alongside me as I dance to raise money for these fantastic causes. I will post more about how it will filmed etc.
In order to help me raise money (and enjoy the session as much as possible) I have asked my friend Noah Groombarke who is a local DJ, to do a set for an hour (if his WiFi works 😂).
So please I ask people to share this post, send it to your family, friends, colleagues, whoever you like, to help sponsor me to complete this event and raise money for important charities in a very fun way to help us all get through this difficult time together.
