London Marathon 2022 for Carols Fund

London Marathon 2022 · 2 October 2022 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Some of you may already know that I am running the London Marathon 2022 to raise money for a cause very close to my heart, Brain Tumour Research. My lovely aunt, Carol was diagnosed with GBM, a rare and highly aggressive brain tumour with a terminal diagnosis in February 2018. She was given just 12-18 months to live. She bravely fought this horrible disease for over 4.5 years until she sadly passed away on 21/09/2022.
She was so inspirational to me with how she remained so positive when fighting such a horrible disease. It has been heartbreaking to see the effect this horrible disease has had on my beautiful aunt and her family, my uncle Gary, Gemma and James, my gorgeous cousins.
I would be so grateful for any support I receive, I know times are tough at the moment. Any little bit helps fund life saving research into brain tumours. Brain tumour charities are terribly underfunded and treatment options are limited.
Thank you so much for all your support and I will keep you updated on my marathon journey.
Rest in peace, Carol we will miss you terribly. 🤍
Lots of love,
Georgie
