Six weeks ago we faced the reality of needing the air ambulance and the expertise of their crew when Amelia starting choking on her lunch and quickly lost consciousness. The critical care paramedic and emergency care doctor on board provided advanced intervention and were able to get Amelia breathing again. It was their early intervention that not only saved her life, but prevented her from having any lasting effects from her ordeal.
Each time the air ambulance is needed it costs EAAA in the region of £3500. Our aim is to raise as much as possible to help save another life. We will be fundraising as a family by participating in events through 2019 and hosting a charity raffle.
I will always be grateful that services like the East Anglian Air Ambulance exist. They save lives every day. They saved Amelia’s life.
