I have signed up to be on team Gladiator with the sick Children's trust completing 900 sit ups in April for their 'sit up for the sick children's trust' challenge to help raise money. It costs the Charity £30 a night for a family to stay in one of the charities home from homes, when they have a seriously ill child in hospital.

This charity helps thousands of families and we need to do our part to help the charity, so please help by donating. 

The sick children's trust and their home from homes especially mean a lot to me. I needed their help back in Dec 2019/ Jan 2020 when my baby boy, Carter became seriously ill. He was rushed into hospital with an RSV and severe breathing apnoea.  He was intubated, needed so much help and specialist care on the pediatric intensive care unit at Addenbrookes hospital, I was housed a short walk away from him in Acorn house. It meant the absolute world to me to have a home to go to after long tough hours on the ward with Carter, not just for me but to have quality time with my daughter and family in a home setting. 

Doing 900 sit ups in a month may sound easy for some but most definitely not for me, this is a huge challenge. 

I was poorly myself starting with sever pre-eclampsia during my pregnancy which ended in an emergency C-section. my scar wouldn't heal, it became infected and it took a very very long time before it did close and heal up. 

I was rushed into hospital with Sepsis, pneumonia, and pleurisy Feb 2020, I then only managed about a week out of hospital before being admitted again with pancreatitis and severe liver damage. 

Recently I've been diagnosed with graves disease which is effecting me in all sorts of ways. 

So I've decided to start my get fit with sit ups in April, challenge myself, raise money and join team Gladiator.  Sit up for the sick Children's trust.
