Campaign by PROSTATE CANCER UK (RCN 1005541 and in Scotland (SC039332))
There's something for everyone in The Big Golf Race. Choose from the Half Marathon (2 rounds, 36 holes, 13 miles in a day), the Marathon (4 rounds, 72 holes, 26 miles in a day) or even the Ultra Marathon (5.5 rounds, 100 holes, 35 miles in a day).

Story

I’m doing the 72 Golf hole challenge (equivalent of doing a marathon) for my Dad.

On the 21st of December 2021 my Dad was told the devastating news that he has Advanced Prostate cancer stage 4 (incurable). It’s an aggressive cancer that has spread to his stomach. His treatment is going well and he is fighting it with all he’s got. I’m doing this event to raise awareness and funds for the charity.

Particularly for middle aged men, we implore you to start having regular yearly blood tests. The key is to catch things as early as possible, as they have treatments to stop the cancer growing if any issue is spotted.

On 28th of June, I will be starting at 5:30am and ending at approximately 10pm at an attempt of completing this challenge of 72 golf holes in one day at my golf club (Ringway gc)

Anything you can spare to this fundraising would be massively appreciated.

Many thanks

Georgie
