Hello all!!

This summer (8-11 July), I have committed myself to the crazy task of cycling 400 km from the heart of London to the iconic Parisian landmark- the Eiffel Tower. 

I'm beginning my journey totally unprepared; my current exercise routine is virtually non-existent and I had barely ditched the stabilisers the last time I mounted a bike!!

However, pushing myself to the limit is only a drop in the ocean relative to the struggles of those battling right now with diseases such as cancer across the UK. The charity I am fundraising for, Breast Cancer Now, is dedicated to researching and providing services and support for those affected. Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in the UK and one in eight women will face it in their lifetime. More than 50,000 women were diagnosed last year alone. 

Over the course of the next few months, I will be fundraising for the charity, and every penny raised puts me a step closer to my personal target and puts another smile on another patients face.
