We help stroke survivors to find strength through support.

Story

On Saturday 23rd March, I will be taking part in Spinnaker Shocks-a 100m/350ft abseil down the side of the Spinnaker Tower. It's been at least six years since I last abseiled and never from such a height or exposed location so to say I'm nervous is certainly an understatement!

Stroke Association is a brilliant charity who raise awareness of strokes and also offer support and rehabilitation to survivors. I lost my great grandmother to a stroke, a sudden event, completely out of the blue, which shook our family to the core and lead to Nanny Taylor's two month battle for survival in Poole Hopital, which sadly she lost on 27th October 2006. I hope by raising money for Stroke I can stop others suffering the way my family and I did.

I appreciate it is very short notice, as there were only limited spaces for this event I have been on the waiting list for some time and was only allocated a slot today!
