Story
So Declan & I decided to bite the bullet and jump out of a plane at over 10000 feet high in August, in order to raise money for Dementia UK. Feel a little sick at the prospect of this but YOLO.
I will be doing the skydive in memory of my Granddad who unfortunately suffered from dementia. Dementia is a cruel and devastating disease and at present only 2.5% of the governments clinical research budget goes towards Alzheimer's/Dementia despite 800,000 people suffering from it in the UK.
People who are facing or are living with dementia know it is a very hard and long battle. Carers and families need as much support, advice and knowledge of the illness as possible during very difficult times. Dementia UK relies solely on voluntary donations. If you are able to sponsor me, it would be greatly appreciated and would go to a really worthwhile cause.
