Story
On Sunday 22nd May, Laurence and I are taking on the 10km Tough Mudder with 20 obstacles, to raise money for The Encephalitis Society!
As many of you know, I got Encephalitis in 2018, it is a serious condition in which the brain becomes inflamed and it can be life threatening. It has affected me in so many different ways, I have still not gained any of my memory back from the 5 years that I have lost and I still have no sense of smell or taste, my life has changed so much both physically and mentally and it still affects me every day in different ways. I wish it never happened to me but I really am the lucky one.
The Encephalitis Society is an amazing charity that offer so much support, information and advice. They have been with me throughout it all, they are always there to help me and answer any questions I have or even just be there if I need a chat. I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.
Encephalitis needs to get better known and this is why I want to keep raising money and awareness for the charity so close to my heart and to help many more people around the world.
