Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In October I will be taking part in a trip to Kenya with a the charity MEAK (Medical & Educational Aid to Kenya) This has been organised to celebrate 20 years since the charity was first set up by our family friends Mike & Dee. During this trip there will be an eye and dental mission to a remote part of the country, Merti.
It will be the first time an eye and dental team has ever visited this area. Cataract surgery will be performed on patients alongside dental extractions.
Also as part of this trip there will be a 7 day treck with camels in an area called Milgis. This is to raise awareness & sponsorship for the charity.

Just to put it into perspective, £8.00 will pay for the removal of cataracts in one patient.

If you'd like any more information about MEAK you can visit the website and read more about the work they have carried out over the past 20 years at www.meak.org
