Story

Crohn's can affect anyone, anywhere, at anytime. Currently the cure and reasons for Crohn's is unknown. There is a shortage of funding and research into this condition which needs further development and understanding.

In 2015 I was diagnosed with Crohn's. After taking a while to adapt and absorb this information I started treatment.

Unfortunately, each individual case is different and some medication used on one person does not have the same effect on the other. This has led to multiple changes in my medication to try and control my symptoms and be in a period of remission - this is a lifelong struggle people with Crohn's will face.

After some fantastic support from the IBD nurses at Cumberland Infirmary, I am now starting to feel healthier and have more energy, which has enabled me to take on this new challenge.

I am fundraising for this fantastic charity which provides support, raises awareness and funds ongoing research into treatments.

Any donation, however small will help me reach my fundraising target!

Please share my story and help spread the word.
