We offer adventure play opportunities to improve disabled children's lives

Story

On Monday 11th October myself and my colleagues at Brookfield Properties will be taking part in a 15,000ft tandem skydive to raise as much money as possible for ELHAP

I am to many, Georgia, a PA at Brookfield Properties. My work colleagues know me as loud and proud who will grab any
opportunity to help others.  And while this challenge to skydive is on my bucket list, to jump out of a plane to help others is even more important to me, because the Georgia out of her work environment is very different. I have been a child who cares all my life.  My parents started fostering when I was two years old and I can remember the first baby placed in my arms like it was yesterday.  We as a family have fostered hundreds of children over nearly three decades which I can honestly say has been beautiful, challenging, magical and joyful. But most of all, fostering has moulded me into the person I am today.

What I have learnt is it takes a village to raise a child and resources you surround yourself with will make a difference to a child’s
life.  ELHAP have always been there for US and now it’s MY turn to give back. They are an outlet for children who struggle with anger, unable to express themselves in many ways leading to exclusion from schools which can then lead to low self-esteem and education gaps. ELHAP lifts them, allowing them freedom and to build their confidence.  My foster brother who was always a low achiever at school, always in trouble, always sitting in a room on his own, was able to achieve so much at this magical place. He was seen over the years to excel, his confidence grew and in turn he become
happy and isn’t this what we all need…happiness.

ELHAP helps a wide range of children that parents and carers
struggle with, a well-deserved rest. Some parents/carers have no
help at all other than reaching out to ELHAP.

In a place that the world can seem so alien to children with
autism, ELHAP gives them freedom and love. In a world that can seem so unfair to children who have disabilities, ELHAP will treat them with kindness and love. In a world that children are seen as challenging ELHAP will see them as adventurous.

Please donate to help ELHAP and support every child who walks through their door.

Lots of love Georgia x
