We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

I have chosen to do the Great of Wall of China Trek because it is a condition that is close to my heart.  I have past and present family members who have got or had a form of dementia.

Alzheimer's Disease is the most common type of dementia.  There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK, with numbers set to rise to over one million by 2025.

The trek will involve me walking up and down steep step sections, one of which is called 'Heaven's Ladder', along with walking on the Great Wall itself as well as through villages and farmland.  I will be starting at Beijing and going through the following places:- Huangyaguan - Mountain Village - Jinshanlin - Gubeiko -Mutianyu finish back at Beijing.  Total trekking time is approximately 35 hours which will take 6 days.

Its going to be a real challenge so please help me to support this charity and raise awareness too.  Thank you!
