We are fighting to make a world where diabetes does no harm

Story

I have been diabetic for 17 years now and I've finally plucked up the courage to take on a big challenge. And what a challenge to start with!

I'll be taking my favourite stuffed gorilla "George" into the Rugged Jungle and Mountainous regions of Thailand for 6 days of Trekking, Rafting, climbing mountains and (generally) NOT getting eaten by the local wildlife.

If you'd like to see me suffer in the Jungle, please donate as much as you can! Every donation not only brings me closer to getting eaten by giant scorpions (they exist right?) but your donations will be put into much needed research for Diabetes UK.

**UPDATE** Come to our special Halloween Event The Frocky Horror Show

It's going to be great fun and you'll have a great time making a difference, just by turning up!

--- Information on Diabetes and why we need your help ----

Diabetes touches the lives of over two million people in the UK – if you aren’t directly affected by the condition, you probably know someone who is.

26,000 people die from the complications of Diabetes every year in the UK alone. As of 2010, it is estimated that 1 in 8 deaths are Diabetes related and this number is rising.

Without donations, people in the UK with Diabetes cannot receive the support they need to manage what is a difficult condition to live with and with more and more people developing Diabetes all the time, we need your support to help work towards a cure.

So PLEASE donate as much as you can! Only a few pounds will help George get back to the Jungle and you're money will go on to help millions of people.

If you can't donate, please just pass this page on! Tweet it! Facebook it! Spread the word as much as you can!
