Story
This Autumn, I will be taking on the Royal Parks Half Marathon and raising vital funds for Down South London - a charity that supports Eddy, my 2 year old son as well as many other children with Down syndrome in South London.
Having Down Syndrome typically means having a level of learning disability, affecting one’s ability to learn, it does not mean they cannot learn. Down Syndrome also affects muscle tone, meaning it can take longer than typically expected for kids to learn how to crawl, to walk, to talk and speak, to feed themselves and learn other fine and gross motor skills. And all of this means extra help is required. And this is where Down South London comes in to support.
The charity offers a unique package of early intervention physical, occupational and speech & language therapy, delivered by a highly skilled group of specialised therapists, to children with Down syndrome in South London. And this includes Eddy, my 2 year old son.
Thank you in advance for supporting my challenge and donating whatever you can, it will make a massive difference.
