My name is George Wise, I am 21 years of age and have lived in the Banbury area my entire life. Ask anybody who has known me I was always an "active" child when I was growing up and even now. Naturally my activities meant I took many trips to the Horton Hospital particularly the A&E unit where I took great pleasure in collecting the different coloured hedgehog badges for my bravery/stupidity. On my numerous visits to the hospital the care I revived from all of the teams was nothing short of excellent, the doctors and nurses who looked after me were always caring, compassionate and willing to go the extra mile to make me as comfortable as possible and for this I will be eternally grateful. Besides spending time at the Horton injured I also would visit occasionally as my mother Dawn Gilkes has been a midwife associated with the hospital since 1991.
On Friday 7 June at Hinton Skydiving Centre I will be jumping from 13,000 feet, whilst strapped to the front of a Tandem Instructor in aid of the Horton Charity Challenge. I feel passionate about raising money to help these amazing people continue the important work they do, so please help me to support this fantastic cause!
Note from Charity: This year we want to say a really BIG thank you to the amazing people who make our Horton General Hospital so special.
