In memory of Dominic Thomas
Too many people with ataxia struggle to receive a diagnosis. Many medical professionals are unaware of ataxia, so this IAAD we are walking together to our GP surgeries to deliver specialist Guidelines to support them and raise awareness and funds.

Story

My brother; Dominic, died last year from Ataxia at 59 and my sister; Victoria also suffers from this cruel and debilitating disease.

Too many people with ataxia struggle to receive a diagnosis. Due to its rare nature, many medical professionals are unaware of ataxia.

Ataxia can take many forms and is a degenerative disease of the nervous system resulting from damage to the cerrebellum.

Lisa and I are running a half marathon and are hoping to raise £1000 to support ataxia research with the goal of developing treatments and cures for Ataxia.
