Story
Hello!
In February 2022, I will be taking on the challenge of a lifetime by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds to support young people in Africa and Asia to take on the greatest challenges they face and all donations will go directly to Restless Development who work with thousands of young people across Africa and Asia to tackle unemployment, child marriage, HIV, climate change, Coronavirus and much more.
I will be attempting to fundraise £5895 before I climb 5895m to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, but please note that ALL of the money raised/donated will go straight to the charity. We are all paying for our own trip, any money you kindly donate will not be contributing to our little hike.
My chosen charity, Restless Development works with young people to tackle some of the greatest issues around the world such as:
- Mobilising responses to emergencies like the Nepal earthquake, the Ebola outbreak and the Coronavirus pandemic.
Here are some examples of how your donations can help:
- £10 could train 3 young women and girls in India, equipping them with the skills they need for employment.
- £80 could provide PPE to 20 young people as they share life-saving health information about Coronavirus in Zimbabwe.
- £1000 could support 80 young activists to fight against child marriage in Nepal.
- £5895 could support 48 young entrepreneurs to set up their own businesses in Uganda, reducing poverty in their communities.
