August 16th is fast approaching and it is the first anniversary of Ethan's passing. It will be an emotional time for us but it is also an opportunity to do something positive and good and hopeful to honour the memory of our boy.
We spent the last days with Ethan at the wonderful Charlton Farm Hospice in Bristol. The medical team there lovingly cared for Ethan, the siblings team entertained and supported Joseph and Daniel with fun trips and activities and the catering staff kept feeding us regularly with fine fodder.
It was such a lovely place that Joe and Dan keep asking when we can go back there!
Our family are profoundly grateful for the time we spent there and realise that it takes quite a bit of money to keep it open.
At 6.00pm on Friday 22nd August I will be embarking on 24 hours of Squash at Lansdown Squash Club, fuelled only by Mars Bars and "Now That's What I call Music 1984". If you want to come along and give squash a go there may be an early morning opportunity around 2.30am....let me know!
Please give a little, or a lot, so that Charlton Farm can keep supporting other children and families. Thanks, George
