Story
Hiya people,
As we all know the second lockdown of the year is fast approaching, leaving a lot of us working from home, trapped in the house and struggling to keep busy. With that comes a lot of uncertainty for many of us, including financial pressure, the loss of social contact, and an overwhelming amount of time in which so many of us overthink every situation and feeling. It's no secret that we've all experienced it at some point, and the negative psychological decline that we face has sadly become one of the leading causes for death, particularly for young people. Suicide is now the biggest killer in the UK for under 35's, with 200 school children lost every year. The sad reality is that over the next 4 weeks, more lives are going to be lost, and more needs to be done to make a difference. For that reason, I've decided id like to raise some money for the fantastic charity Papyrus UK who are dedicated to the prevention of young suicide. Their helpline provides confidential support to so many young people and goes such a long way in saving a number of lives and raising awareness in the process.
So, beginning Thursday the 5th November, up until the end of the lockdown period (2nd/3rd December), I plan to run 200km in 28 days and hopefully raise as much as I can in the process. I understand not everyone is in the financial position to donate in the current times, but if you could share my page it would go such a long way.
Thank you in advance to everyone able to support me, if this money can go towards making a difference to just one individual's life then that'll do me. So look after your mates and check on those around you, you never how far it could go for someone hiding behind a smile. Look out for the signs and use the following helpline for those in need:
