For 2019, the Banks Group's chosen charity is the Samaritans. Samaritans is a unique charity dedicated to reducing feelings of isolation and disconnection that can lead to suicide.

To raise money for this amazing charity, my colleague Lewis Stokes and I will be taking part in the Cumbria Way Ultra Marathon on 14th and 15th September where we only have 27 hours to complete the course. The Cumbria Way is a 73.9 mile trail ultra-race which passes through the varied terrain of the Lake District, giving over a 10,000 feet ascent. The event starts at 06:00 at The Gill in Ulverston and finishes at Carlisle Castle.
