Story
I am heading to the Marmotte for the sixth time this year (I think this is likely to be the sixth time I swear 'never again') and have also managed to get a place in the Prudential to ride for the Felix Fund.
For the last couple of years it has been my privilege to have done some work with Explosive Ordnance Disposal teams- in situations where the vast majority of us would run a country mile in the opposite direction, these are the people who make the long walk and deal with the problem, often at no more than arms' length.
Unfortunately not all of them have made it back. There is a depressingly regular feed on the Felix Fund's social media pages about those who fell in action, both in the UK and abroad.
The Felix Fund supports veterans and their families and has also provided direct support to some of the units around the country for a variety of reasons.
I personally can't think of a worthier cause.
