Story
I started running again last year and found that I missed it and was glad to be back. I wanted to challenge myself by taking it one step further and run the London Marathon 2021.
I am running for Alzheimer’s Society because I have seen first-hand the devastating impact that dementia has on people’s lives. Dementia not only impacts those who have it, but also the people caring for them and their loved ones. The people caring for people with dementia are often the unsung heroes. We owe it to them to help find a cure and end dementia once and for all.
About the Alzheimer’s Society:
- Alzheimer's Society in the UK's leading dementia charity. They provide information and support, fund research, campaign to improve care and create lasting change for people affected by dementia.
- Alzheimer's Society funds research into the cause, care, cure and prevention of all types of dementia and has committed to spend at least £150 million on research over the next decade. This includes a £50 million investment in the UK's first dedicated Dementia Research Institute.
- Until the day we find a cure, Alzheimer's Society will be there for anyone affected by dementia - wherever they are, whatever they're going through.
Let's take on dementia together, every donation is a step closer to finding a cure.
Thank you for your support, George
