Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Royal Parks Half Marathon 2020 JustGiving page - in aid of Guide Dogs.

I was due to run the London Landmarks Half Marathon in March, but unfortunately due to work commitments I am no longer in a position to do this. However, instead I will continue to raise as much money as possible for Guide Dogs and now run the Royal Parks Half Marathon in October.

Guide Dogs is a charity that benefits so many unfortunate people. For us able bodied folk, with full use of the 5 senses, I think we sometimes take our ability to experience these for granted, so to be able to offer some form of support to a charity that allows others to lead a normal life, putting their lives and full trust in the ‘paws’ of such a special animal, is extremely magical.

Please kindly support me in my endeavours to raise as much as possible for this worthy cause. No matter how small the donation, it all helps and Guide Dogs fully appreciate this as do I. Thank you wholeheartedly from myself and on behalf of Guide Dogs.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
