Story
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Thanks for visiting my page. This year I'll be taking on 3 challenges, in a bid to help raise support for two charities, Hope and Homes for Children and Autistica. The good news is that I'm asking you for one donation.
Details of the charities and challenges are below.
Many thanks,
George
Why Hope and Homes for Children and Autistica?
Hope and homes for children exists to help the 8 million children trapped in orphanages around the world, to claim back their lives by placing them with caring and supporting families.
Autistica is also a really worthwhile charity. They provide support for adults and children diagnosed with autism.
Autism is a lifelong developmental disability that affects how a person communicates and relates to the world around them. Autism includes a spectrum of conditions, which means that while people share certain difficulties, their condition will affect them in different ways.
Autistica works to ensure everyone affected by autism has the chance of a longer, happier, healthier life. Through their research, they are helping families by speeding up diagnoses and providing them with the support they need much faster.
Please donate whatever you feel you can, no matter how small. Hope and Homes for Children and Autistica are Deutsche Bank charity partners. Deutsche Bank will match every £1 donation received, doubling the impact of your donations.
What will I be doing?
In May, I'll be joining Deutsche Bank colleagues to cycle 100KM of gruelling hill climbs, on and around the Surrey Hills.
In June, I'll be taking part in the London Tri, swimming, cycling and running my way around the capital. Inclusive of a 1500m swim, 40KM cycle, and 10KM run.
In August, I'll be taking on the UK's Man vs Mountain race. Consisting of a 22 mile run with a total ascent of 5,055ft. Starting at sea level in Caernarfon Castle, before weaving its way to the summit of Snowdon and down the other side Dinorwic Quarry. With abseiling and lake swimming all thrown in for good measure.
