Story
***Update, I completed the marathon with a PB of 3 hours and 49 minutes. Thanks to everyone who donated. I am so grateful and so is everyone at Manchester Mind! :) *****
I am training and running Edinburgh Marathon for Manchester Mind.
Bruce (my dog) has managed to keep up with most my training runs but managed to lose a claw on the way and has had to bail due to injury. (Not sure it's legal for dogs to run a marathon anyway) I chucked him in the cover photo out of kindness as a consolation prize but I guess I'm going solo this year.
I've put everything into my training this year, sometimes pushing through snow in the hills of Todmordon! The charity does some fantastic work and I'm honoured to be able to run for them.
Any donations are welcome, small or large, and I thank anyone who takes the time to read this far. I'm hoping to beat my personal best by about an hour on last year's time and the donations will motivate me through these last couple of weeks of my training.
DONATE AWAY!
Manchester Mind is an independent, local charity, which supports over 5000 young people and adults each year. We believe that everyone deserves to be supported in their mental health needs and we have a part to play in that. Our charity values the commitment of our staff and volunteers, who work hard to ensure services are delivered in a way that enables people to feel heard and involved. Donations and help from our fantastic supporters make a real difference, so thank you for being part of our success this year.
