For about 18 months I ran a choir with the Genesis Trust as part of their Life Skills programme. There I met an extraordinary group of people: some who have faced genuine struggles in life but have found a place where they can get the support which they need to slowly get themselves back on their feet: and some who give that support, tirelessly.

Singing together was an amazing experience, and I saw people change, for the better. Singing is such a good way to develop confidence, and trust in others too. I have made some wonderful friends in Genesis. Jumping off a 160 ft tower is the least that I can do for them. We may even get together again and have a sing once I reach the ground....
