Story
Well, it's all over now for another year. Just imagine, there'll have been over 50,000 pairs of sore feet and aching knees on Monday morning, all over the country. I'll be back to do it all again next year, God willing.
If you're one of those who've donated, a big thankyou from me and the rest of the Macmillan team.
If this is is your first visit here, then please click on the "donate now" button. The race may be over for another year, but there are still people out there relying on Macmillan's support.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This year I'm running the Great North Run to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
I’ve been a runner for several years
And I’ll not deny there’ve been some tears
Every year I do the Great North Run
In a perverse sort of way it’s kind of fun
13.1 miles up in the North East
In company with 25,000 others, at least.
Batman and Robin, Superman and frogs
Mr Men, ostriches and cartoon dogs.
Most run for a cause, I do too
That’s why I’m trying to entertain you
It’s Macmillan Nurses this year again
A charity which deserves acclaim
But they need our help to do what they do
I know money’s tight, it is for them too
Please put your hand in your pocket and pull out some cash
Make it more worth while when I do my dash
