We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

Apparently Muhammad Ali said “if my mind can conceive it, and my heart can believe it - then I can achieve it” so it with that in mind we’re entering a 407km endurance cycle ride? Rather than rounding down, we're including the 7km as, by the time we get to them, we're sure we’ll notice each one.

Starting at 10:30pm on Friday 22June (yep, dont want to make it too easy and start after a good nights sleep) near Taunton in Somerset and winding through the Exmoor countryside to Minehead before heading east to Frome and up to Bath, Bristol and crossing the Seven Bridge for our turnaround point at Chepstow. Apparently the sun rise is worth it - must look different from a saddle?!

And now for the really funny bit – we’re not training!

Not because we're tough we just dont have the time. The longest single ride we’ve done was about 170km and that was about a year ago and that left its mark (chamois cream this time).  Anyway it wouldn’t be a challenge if we knew we could do it…so the plan is to tell lots of people so failure isn’t an option.

Without getting ‘heavy’ we want to generate a few sheckles as Geoff’s Dad died last year from Cancer and we know others that have been touched by ‘the nasty’. So for our family and friends that may be thankful to see medical science find a cure we’re going to donate our posteriors for medical science!
