Story

At Chapter2, we believe passionately that every boy should have a good man to guide him to adulthood. Sadly, the UK is suffering under a fatherless pandemic with far too many boys in the UK growing up with no father or father figure. The long term impact caused by such a relational absence can be profoundly damaging. The mission of Chapter2 is to write hope into the fatherless story by providing trained, assessed and monitored adult men as dedicated 1-2-1 mentors for every boy on the programme. Our hope is that the mentors and mentees will build a lasting relationship in which the mentor can help guide the boy to adulthood. At Chapter2 each boy will also be invited into a community of men, formed from the trained mentors on the programme. Each male community will meet regularly for group activities which seek to build confidence, teach new life skills and bestow the essence of what it means to be a good man that can have a positive impact on his community.

Chapter2 works with boys who are growing up with no father and no positive male influence. We provide them with a dedicated male mentor and male community to help guide them to adulthood. Our aim is to write hope into a story which might otherwise be profoundly sad.
