Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the morning of 21 November 2020, Jackson woke up to discover that his mum, Sergeant Amy Womersley had taken her own life. He was just 11 at the time. In a single instant, Jackson's life was changed forever.
Jackson is supported by a lovely, small charity called Scotty's Little Soldiers.
This year I have decided to take on not 1, but 3 ultra marathons in the space of (just over) 3 months in aid of Scotty's and to thank them for the support they provide, not only to Jackson, but all the other children who have lost a serving parent:
1 April - Easter (Windsor) 50km
27 May - London to Brighton (Day 1) 56km
8/9 July - Race to the Stones 100km continuous
This will be a fairly brutal few months, with 206 event kilometres (128 miles) and probably double that in training!
Scotty's Little Soldiers - a small charity dedicated to supporting children and young people who have experienced the death of a parent who served in the British Armed Forces. They have been a huge support to Jackson in the months since Amy's death and will continue to provide much needed support to him and us over the coming months and years.
