Story
It is with great sadness I tell you that today the mothership left her broken, dementing body behind. All of the energy that made up the bat-shit-crazy human version of her has been released back into the universe.
So you need to be ready…
From this point forth, you’ll know that if you say something daft or do something backwards or get confused by the simplest thing, that’s a little bit of my Mum’s energy that just infected you.
Sorry ‘bout that. 🤷🏼♀️
But do me a favour; if your legs work, take a walk. If you can think, learn something new. If you can talk, say something you’ve been meaning to. None of those things was available to my Mum the last few years and that basic shizzle is more important than the BS stuff we get tangled up with every single day.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned from my Mum it’s:
*Don’t attach a peddle bin halfway up the wall.*
No, wait, not that.
It’s *If you want to fit a new plug socket, switch off the electrics first.*
Hang on…
*If the river Gade is frozen, it probably isn’t frozen enough to support an adult’s body weight.*
The bottom line is there were many lessons and she selflessly made them apparent by doing things that the average person would instinctively know they should avoid.
And for that, we all loved her. ❤️

Please help me raise money for The Rare Dementia Support Fund. They help with dementias such as bvFTD which is a rare, early-onset dementia for which is there no treatment and is unlike other dementias and Alzheimer’s. It’s easy to miss because the symptoms are so unusual but an early diagnosis can significantly help family members practically and psychologically prepare for the long and difficult road ahead:

A special thanks to all the friends and family who reached out with offers of help at various intervals during the last few weeks. It would mean a great deal to me if you could give what you can to this charity.
