Story
Hi my name is Gemma and I have surprised even myself by signing up to take part in the Peru trek challenge!
I am doing the trek to raise money for the Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths (FSID’S). I decided to participate after a close friend and family lost their much loved son, Stanley aged five weeks and five days to SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), in 2005.
Family and friends have been raising money for FSID’S in memory of Stanley and I thought it was time I did something proactive! I have always wanted to travel further a field than Clun(!), so Peru here I come! I will be paying as much as I can towards my own travel costs so this fantastic cause can get as much sponsorship as possible.
I can’t pretend that I’m not nervous about the challenge, but I guess if I wasn’t nervous it wouldn’t be much of a challenge!! I am taking the challenge seriously and am preparing myself both physically and mentally.
Thankyou for taking the time to visit my fundraising page and hope that you find it in your heart to dig deep for such a good cause. x
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you for your support.
