Story
Christmas Day 1998 is a day I will always remember. Aged 18, I underwent surgery on my spine following a car accident. Every day I am humbled to think that it is thanks to that skilled surgery that I can walk. I will be so proud to be able to run the 26 miles in support of Spinal Research and to raise as much money as I can to help others who have been less fortunate than me.
I am a member of the Spinal Research ‘Near Miss Club’ for people who escaped serious damage to their spinal cord. It offers the opportunity to help Spinal Research in its ground breaking research to find effective treatments to reverse paralysis caused by spinal cord injury and change the lives of people who have been paralysed. Ultimately their aim is to turn every accident that causes spinal cord injury into a near miss.
I really appreciated all your support and thank you for any donations. I am running alongside two fabulous friends, Kate and Vivienne. Feel free to come along on the day and cheers us on or have a good laugh!
THANK YOU! :)
