Story
On Sunday 17th March 2013 after a wonderful day celebrating the christening of my daughter with close family and friends, I made the mistake of thinking how much I loved my life and how everything was perfect.
On the afternoon of Monday 18th March 2013 (my mum's 59th birthday) my mum told me that unfortunately the initial biopsy results had been incorrect and she did infact have cancer.
This started my introduction to Lymphoma and what was a very hard summer for all the family.
Fortunately my mum is now in remission. We are the lucky ones.
Cycling (along with baring all in Calendar Girls!) was a needed distraction and allowed me to focus on something positive during a very difficult summer. It therefore seemed fitting to ride the London-Surrey ride as a form of fundraising for the Lymphoma Association.
Thank you so much for your support emotionally over the last year. It has meant so much to me. Anything you feel able to give would be greatly appreciated not only by myself but also by the Lymphoma Association, who provided support to my mum during her treatment.
