Story
On Sunday 9th September I will running the Great North Run Half Marathon to raise money for Invest in ME Research. Running the Great North Run is a bit of a childhood dream for me. My Dad (my running hero) ran it many times and we always used to sit round the TV trying to spot him. I was incredibly non-sporty as a child and I never thought I’d be able to run that far but this will be my sixth half marathon, and the fifth raising money for Invest in ME Research.
ME is very misunderstood and it’s shocking how little money is put in to the research of something that affects so many people. I’m running for Invest in ME Research to help raise awareness and money to try and find a cure. I know there are many people with ME who would love to run, so I’m running for them.
I will be wearing my bright pink vest with sparkly letters and my blue sparkly skirt 😁 Running is as much about having fun as it is about challenging yourself. 🏃♀️
