Bupa Great South Run 2011 · 30 October 2011 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. On October 30th I will be running the Great South Run in Portsmouth (10 miles) for Kick4LIfe with my husband Dan and we would love your support for this life saving and life changing charity. Feel free to sponsor either of us or both of us, we see this as a joint effort! Dan's page can be found here http://www.justgiving.com/dashley
I will be tweeting about my training (amongst other things, including cats and politics) at @gemmatumelty
Kick4Life uses the power of football and sport to transform the lives of some of the most disadvantaged boys and girls in the world.
Kick4LIfe was founded in 2005 and focuses their work in Lesotho in southern Africa, delivering a range of projects focused on tackling HIV through sports-based health education, voluntary testing, life-skills development and support into education and employment. Lesotho has the third highest HIV prevalence in the world and more than 100.000 children have been orphaned by the disease.
Kick4LIfe is also passionate about promoting and raising awareness of the use of sport for positive change, and plays an active part in several international networks including Football for Hope, streetfootballworld and Laureus.
