Please help us raise £130,000 to provide a new enhanced outdoor play area for children in hospital at Northampton General Hospital. Being able to play whilst being treated in hospital is really important for a child's recovery.

Story

I was born prematurely and spent the first 6 weeks of my life on Gosset Ward at Northampton General Hospital.  I love to run and came up with the idea that I could set myself a challenge by running 100km throughout June, in order to raise money for the Children's Wards at the same hospital that helped me 12 years ago.

Northamptonshire Health Charity has been asked to raise £130,000 for a new outdoor play area for children while they are in hospital. Your help in making this dream a reality to enhance the facilities for little ones at Northampton General Hospital really means a lot to us! For a child, being able to play whilst being treated in hospital is really important for their recovery as it is reassuring and familiar, enabling children to express their feelings and anxieties. Thank you for helping us reach our target with your fundraising. Children of all ages and ability are treated on Disney and Paddington with some young patients receiving chemotherapy and some children being treated in the Paediatric Assessment Unit. The new improved space will be equipped to provide a range of outside play activities as well as new options for physiotherapy. It will also have vastly improved accessibility for all children.
