Story
The Butterfly garden is an educational, therapeutic and recreational scheme, based initially on gardening, but now offering so much more. It is a project for people of all ages dealing with disablement of any kind. It caters for those looking to escape the world, those looking to re-enter it and some, who are still just looking. Its doors are open to anyone without obligation.
Myself and Jayne have supported people within our work to attend for a number of years and it is really rewarding and everyone who attends really enjoys their time there and feels like they have done a good days work which is a great achievement to them. We feel they do amazing work and support a lot of people close to our hearts, it is filling a great need for vulnerable people since services across the county have been reduced. My brother Robert has also been attending for over a year now and has made great progress, he now attends 3 times a week and comes all the way from Newent!
The website and my description doesn’t do it justice, you must go and visit to see the good work they do for yourself and how much everyone enjoys it! We want to raise as much as we can as we know we will see for ourselves what the money is going to achieve and make it an event better place to visit than it already is!
