Story
In 2012 the Great North Run gave me the hope and determination I needed to fight cancer. It will be one of my greatest ever achievements as an athlete. I ran it when I had cancer, 3 days after a 10 day cycle of chemotherapy and with 3 months of treatment still to go.
It's 5 years since I was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 23 and 5 years since I ran my first ever half marathon. Cancer has changed my life. Sport and exercise has been extremely important in my recovery from cancer both physically and psychologically. I honestly don't know what I would of done without it. It's therapy for me and an extremely important aspect of my life.
I'm running this year to raise awareness for MOVE Charity. A Charity I founded in 2016 that is dedicated to supporting children and young people living with cancer through the inspiration power of physical activity and sport. There is so much this charity can do to reach and support more children and young people living with cancer they just need vital funds to be able to do it.
If you can spare a few pennies to support such an important cause I would really appreciate it. Thanks for all of your support so far.
