Story
Hi guys,
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For over a decade now it's been a long, tough journey watching my Mum's illness take away everything we take for granted. The problems faced by both sufferers and carers are hard to understand until you are forced into that position, but Alzheimer Scotland are there for support and advice, and have been a very big part in supporting our family.
I am taking part in a (fun-filled) 5K with my sister, Joanne, on the 21st June for Alzheimer Scotland- a charity I am very fond of and would be very grateful if you could join me in supporting the work they do.
I have started my training; you'll no doubt see or hear of my progress as I overcome the obstacles of not wearing pink to run in (why do all girly running clothes incorporate pink???), asthma attacks and the urge to stop and take photos whilst I train. I know there are some people who can take a 5K run in their stride but this is no easy feat for myself. Be rest assured that any donation, big or small, is much appreciated.
And as my doc told me: "A fit person is a healthy person"
