We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

Amanda and I like to do our bit for Charity and have participated in Race for Life several times together.

As some of you may be aware Amanda's mum (Sue) was diagnosed with Alzheimers several years ago and passed away after a long battle last year. So this year Amanda wanted to do something a bit different (and more challenging) than your usual 5km walk/run. After much research we decided that 50Km was a suitable distance and found the Thames Path challenge. We will be going from Putney along the Thames Path to Runnymede.

I have decided to help support Amanda this year in memory of her mum (and coz she's gonna need it!) and also because Chris' Grandmother has been diagnosed with Dementia in the past year and is now in a care home.

Alzheimers Society does vital research into the disease which on average claims 60,000 lives. It also helps and supports those with a form of dementia as well as the family members who have to care for relatives.

So my plea is for you to sponsor us, any amount, nothing is too small,  to help fund the research and support this charity offers to thousands across the UK and to thank you for your support :)
