Hi firstly thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As most of my friends and family know I am a keen runner and have done many events on my feet. I was asked to take part in the Pier to Pier challenge by a friend and in a moment of craziness agreed. I am not a very confident swimmer (I swim for survival but never far from the shore or side of pool) but want a new challenge for 2014 that plus my family suffers with heart disease in various degrees of severity as does friends and family of friends.
June 11 training FYI -We survived another lake training swim! we did 800m on our second time. I'm not going to lie I found it really tough on my shoulders & back (wetsuit front crawl is tough!) plus the mental training (mind over matter) because once your out in the middle of the lake and your exhausted there is no stopping you have to keep swimming.. but we did it! next training session is the full mile!!
